It’s June 1st and today it’s time for a very important announcement. The International Network of Harry Potter Websites, also known as the DA, proudly presents the first real Social Network for Harry Potter fans!

There are millions of fans worldwide with no real way to get in touch with the rest of the fandom – until today! People love social networks, there are a lot of them out there, but there has never been one established for Harry Potter fans exclusively. The DA has changed that!

DA member websites all around the world are reporting about this network meaning that thousands of people will hear about it and register – so head over there and get in touch with them!

The DA, as an organisation of Harry Potter fan communities with the aim to keep Harry Potter interesting, is really excited to establish this Social Network as a highly serious way for all Harry Potter fans who want to make new, international contacts within the fandom. Recently i received replies from Evanna Lynch and Toby Jones for my personal collectiong. Evanna sent what i think to be a pre printed picture. Toby Jones sent me a note saying he thinks deathly hallows will be good to film and sorry he didn't have any photos to sign (strange reply i know!)
Have been sending lots of letters of recently so should get many more replies within the next few weeks.
Curenttly doing my a level exams but when im done (in a few days) i will be updating the gallery with all the recently obtained signed photos.

Heya just to say i haven't forgotten about this site ! Currently majorly bogged down with A-level revision (everyone hear that i might get to study hp next year!? very excited!)

There hasn't been any updates because there hasn't been anything to update with, haven't sent leters in a afew months but im working on getting some down in revision breaks (bit too frequent!)

Any ideas for new pages let me know as i'll have loads of spare time in the summer.

Heya,
As part of the DA organisation i am working with a group of people in getting a keepsake box to emma watson for her 18th birthday. You can have a chance to get a message sent to her, eg a poem. Instruction on how below.

5 of the most original and creative will be chosen to be sent with our hand made and engraved keepsake box. YOU MUST SEND YOUR ENTRIES TO ME WITHIN 1 WEEK. (rosiew_118@yahoo.co.uk) Here is what you can enter:

1. Short poem, maximum of 5 lines – why you like Hermione/Emma OR about Hermione and Ron’s relationship, OR a birthday poem.
2. Favourite Hermione quote and why, tip – looking for the most original reason behind your choice and reason.
3. Create and explain a spell or creature and why Hermione would like or dislike it.
Rules:

• THERE IS A WORD LIMIT OF 100 WORDS.
• All entries must be in some way related to Hermione’s character.
• No offensive or rude language in anyway.
• Include with entry your name age and location (country or state no more specific)
• Only one entry per person for each of the specified categories. To clarify you can enter a piece from 1 and 2 but not two from the same number.

Today i receieved a reply from russell brand within the same week as sending it!!

Also just to say that i am stopping charity letteres being sent, i will wait for the final replies and see what i can make from it all, with the cheque being aimed to be sent end of the year. Hopefully with a nice number on it=]

Yesterday i received 2 signed photos from Kenneth Branagh for my charity fundraising. This reply took a good few months to receive.
I'm now trying to have all of the potter cast, i am sending letters nearly everyday so hopefully in a few months i will see the rewards.

ps, My laptop has broke (typical!) so i can't give exact times when i sent and received this reply.

This morning i received a reply from GMTV, i actually sent the letter to Ben Shephard but received a reply from GMTV generally.
The reply included a bunch of signed photos and a goody bag that included:
GMTV: pen, pillow case, keyring, fleece blanket, frisby, t-shirt, notepad, which was all in a sports style gmtv bag.

The request was sent in october 2007.

The ebay auction was a success as 8 out of the 14 items sold extremely well, with one photo reaching an amazing bid of £33 !

This morning i received 3 great signed photos from shirley, and a letter to me. I'm free today so will be spending my time scanning all my signed photos (could take a while!) with my new scanner.

So hopefully by the end of the day there will be scans of these pictures up.

Amazing sale : Today i received a check for £50 from Keith who is buying my coronation street skirt ! This is an extremely generous offer so thanks Keith :D

Yesterday i received 2 signed photos of anne robinson, i have no record of sending to her but i must of done !

Authentic as one is slightly smudged. Won't take a picture of it as i get my scanner for christmas so im scanning all photos then :D
